In cold weather, it can be extremely difficult for rowers to adjust the height of the oarlock in a crew shell. A group of four engineering students and I addressed this issue by creating AdjustOAR, a modified oarlock featuring a clamp instead of spacers (see below), and resulting in a 33% decrease in the amount of time required to adjust the oarlock height.
